THE QUEST FOR THE ABSOLUTE
"Superheroes are by definition "extraordinary", and extraordinary often means lonely. This is a relatively unknown trait of their personality, but it is nevertheless a common feature of all these imaginary vigilantes.
Loneliness: this is the word that comes to mind when you first discover this photographic work.
I have therefore chosen to exhibit the famous American comic book characters, known throughout the world for their fight against evil and for Freedom and Justice, alone in natural settings.
But this feeling of solitude and isolation is deceptive in reality. We soon realise that they are not alone and that they have come for something.
Nature. It is personified in this work and plays a prominent role in each of the images.
Immersed in these magnificent landscapes, in the middle of these vast natural spaces, facing the force of the elements, the heroes of the fanzines finally seem rather insignificant. Nature is stronger than they are.
But nature is with them, it is an ally that accompanies them and carries them. They walk side by side. And together they will try to reach the ultimate goal they have set for themselves: to reach the quest for the Absolute".

ABSOLUTE (in philosophy) : that exists by itself, without dependence (as in grammar, "absolute" means "without further"). What is absolute does not need any condition and any relationship to be. Absolute does not depend on anything else and carries in itself its reason for being. "Absolute" is a synonym for "unconditional" part, "freed" the other "perfect", "completed", "total".

THE QUEST FOR THE ABSOLUTE
"Les super-héros sont par définition " extraordinaires ", et extraordinaire rime souvent avec solitaire. C'est un trait de caractère relativement méconnu de leur personnalité mais c'est pourtant un point commun à tous ces justiciers imaginaires.
Solitude : c'est le mot qui ressort lorsqu'on découvre pour la première fois ce travail photographique.
J'ai donc choisi d'exposer seuls, dans des décors naturels, les célèbres personnages des Comics américains, connus dans le monde entier pour leur combat contre le mal et pour la Liberté et la Justice.
Mais ce sentiment de solitude et d'isolement est trompeur en réalité. On se rend vite compte qu'ils ne sont pas seuls et qu'ils sont venus chercher quelque chose.
La nature. Elle est personnifiée dans ce travail et joue un rôle de premier plan dans chacune des images.
Immergés dans ces paysages magnifiques, au milieu de ces vastes espaces naturels, face à la force des éléments, les héros de fanzines semblent finalement assez insignifiants. La nature est plus forte qu'eux.
Mais la nature est avec eux, elle est une alliée qui les accompagne et qui les porte. Ils marchent côte à côte. Et ensemble, ils vont tenter d'atteindre le but ultime qu'ils se sont fixés : celui d'atteindre la quête de l'Absolu".
